Success Story – Pardons Canada
Dear sir/madam,
This is my letter I wrote to tell you how I felt when given a pardon. When I came to Canada I wasn’t convicted of any crimes, I go to school and work living with my dad and stepmother was difficult for me so I have to move out on my own.
Living on the street in shelters wasn’t good for me but a friend of mine in school days in Sierra Leone helped me to go and live with them while I go on income support but then I have to move out again because of her little sister was giving me problems not allowing me to study as I was going to school. I graduated on June 2006 I went to study in college and one night I was sleeping something touched me then I woke up from my sleep and eversince that time my life change as things turned upside down for me.
I told my pastor and he said I have demon in me and it was my stepmother who has cast a spell on me so I will not be able to continue my education, so I had to quit and was on medication since that time but the medications wasn’t working as it makes me to hallucinates so am going to Sierra Leone for treatment to be delivered.
When I was convicted I wasn’t able to get a job or go to school but with pardons Canada my life has changed and now I am glad that also I will be wedded next year in Sierra Leone. I tried also to do volunteer jobs but nothing was working for me I was just being idle and been on medications for the demon in me.Now that I have been given pardon I am now relieved as though I was carrying a very big burden on me I just kept praying to God to touched the hearts of the people dealing with my case to please forgive me that I never cut Cynthia body with a knife I only bite her and God did. And thanks to pardons Canada for helping me get through with my application. I have also been given my citizenship certificate and have now applied for Canadian passport and just waiting to be approved then I will travel to Sierra Leone to get married and come and go to school and sponsor my mother, spouse and my adopted son.
Note on Record Suspension
Hello Pardons Canada, hope all is well.
I have just received my letter informing me of my official record suspension/pardon and I am very happy to have received this positive news!
In your letter you ask to share a note about my experience so here goes:
“Although you may find the process to be a lengthy one, rest assured a positive outcome will quickly make you forget the process. I can attest that receiving the letter informing me of my official record suspension lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. It’s amazing how much peace of mind, hope and heart lightening this letter could give someone. I could now look forward to expanded work options without the worry of being passed over because of a criminal record.”
Thank you again Pardons Canada team for making this happen!
Thank you letter

I was deactivated by UBER due to my past criminal record, Pardons Canada destroyed my past criminal record and now I am back in action
Hi, regarding about a letter of appreciation, all I can say is that it is all worth it.
I operate a small moving company and holding a regular time commitment job does not work for me due to the nature of the moving business. Moving can occur at any given time at any day. If I wanted to make extra money during down time, the only job that will works for me are app jobs like UBER. It can basically allow me to work when time permits. Unfortunately, I was deactivated by UBER due to my past criminal record.
But not anymore, Pardons Canada destroyed my past criminal record and now I am back in action.
I am now working again for UBER when needed.
Thank you.
